Before your appointment

A little preparation helps your engagement makeup look its best.

Book your date early and share photos of your outfit, jewellery and dupatta on WhatsApp.

Start skin prep a few weeks ahead: a facial 1 to 2 weeks before the event helps the base sit smoothly.

Get threading and waxing done 2 to 3 days before, not on the day, so the skin is calm.

Come with clean, moisturised skin and freshly washed, fully dried hair (no oil).

Wear a front-open shirt so you can change without disturbing the hair and makeup.

Take out pins and stuffing slowly and detangle hair from the ends up.

Moisturise well that night, and skip scrubs and strong actives for a day or two.

Keep blotting papers (not tissue) in your clutch for touch-ups during the event.
